I am originally from the Dominican Republic and have been living in the United States since 2008. I received my ballet training in my home country under the guidance of exceptional teachers, many of whom were affiliated with the National Ballet of Cuba.
As a teenager, I was first introduced to conditioning through classical Pilates, an experience that became a turning point in my development as a ballerina. It deepened my understanding of strength, alignment, and injury prevention, and ultimately shaped my approach to dance training.
When I began teaching pre-ballet, I knew immediately that incorporating conditioning into my classes was essential. I am passionate about giving young dancers the tools I did not have early on: helping them build strength, body awareness, and resilience from the start, rather than discovering these elements later in their training.
I taught for over eight years at Academia Ballet Concierto Dominicano before moving to the United States to pursue graduate studies and developing another side of my academic pursuits. I am now based in Bethesda, Maryland, where I live with my family. My daughter is also a dedicated ballerina, currently training at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre.
I offer one-on-one conditioning sessions, focused on PBT and Pilates methodology, tailored specifically for dancers, with a focus on building strength, improving technique, and supporting long, healthy careers. I am also eager to start teaching PBT regularly at a local studio.
