Naz is a dance artist originally from Turkiye. Since age 5, she has trained extensively in ballet, character, street jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop and Turkish folk dance. She is in her last year studying at Simon Fraser University, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. At SFU, she worked with industry professionals such as Rob Kitsos, Nicole Rose Bond, Justine Chambers, Company 605, and Anya Saugstad. Naz is Level 1 PBT certified, and is currently getting her AAC1. Previously, she has worked with Vancouver Performing Stars and taught ballet and hip-hop.

Naz prioritizes safe practice in her classes by encouraging strong technique. She also believes in the expressive power of improvisation/freestyle, and implements elements of those in her classes. Her classes are fun yet the right amount of challenging, so that her students can develop a love for dance while expanding their movement vocabulary! Naz always makes sure every kid has a safe space to move and grow!
