Dan Roberge, MS, is a versatile leader in the arts and entertainment industry, with a diverse career encompassing roles such as principal ballet dancer, producer, rehearsal director, artist advocate, artistic advisor, consultant, choreographer, and adjunct assistant professor. Currently serving as the New York City Business Representative for the American Guild of Musical Artists, Dan passionately advocates for and supports artists associated with globally renowned arts organizations, including The Metropolitan Opera, American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Boston Lyric Opera.
As a film and TV producing apprentice, Dan worked under the mentorship of Academy Award winner Peter Spears, Pulitzer-prize nominated Robbie Baitz, and former United Talent Agency partner Brian Swardstrom. Additionally, he held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dance at Northwestern University's School of Communication. Dan Roberge earned a Master of Science from Northwestern University, focusing on leadership and business communications for creative enterprises.
Dan's journey in the arts began at the age of 11 when he was hired by Broadway producer Cameron Mackintosh for his first professional musical theatre production. This early experience ignited his passion for the arts. At 16, under the mentorship of renowned ballet teacher Marie Walton-Mahon, he earned the silver medal at the Genee International Ballet Competition and the Solo Seal Award from the Royal Academy of Dance. In 2010, he relocated from Australia to join The Washington Ballet, performing principal roles on prestigious stages like the New York City Center, Joyce Theater, and the John F. Kennedy Center. Dan has graced the White House for President Obama and has been featured as an editorial model in Vogue and GQ magazines. Recognised for his influence, Dan Roberge was named one of Washington Life Magazine's "Most influential people under 40" from 2017 to 2021.
