Yuan Liang is a dance educator and conditioning specialist dedicated to advancing ballet training through the integration of dance science, pedagogy, and evidence-based methods. She holds a Master’s in Dance Science & Education from the University of Edinburgh and completed the Royal Academy of Dance’s Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. Currently, she serves as a tutor for the RAD’s Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) programme, guiding the next generation of dance teachers in China.
Her focus on foundational training led her to Progressing Ballet Technique in 2017. Yuan has since achieved full PBT certification across all three levels and was featured as a Chinese teaching representative in the official PBT brochure for her insightful application of the method. While studying in the UK, she was invited to deliver practical PBT sessions at the University of Edinburgh. Skilled in both studio and digital settings, she pioneered online PBT instruction in China, with several of her students admitted to professional ballet programmes domestically and abroad.
As a full-time ballet teacher, Yuan integrates PBT organically into daily classical training. Her teaching is further enriched by comprehensive Pilates education, resulting in a holistic methodology that emphasises intelligent strength development, injury prevention, and sustainable practice. She is passionate about empowering future dancers and teachers through science‑based, student‑centred education.
