Working the upper body specifically the thoracic is so important for our students, it will help give them more mobility in their spine and will also help their port de bras.

Starting Position: Lying down on their front the student will place the fusion ball under their ribcage, arms are down a long the floor with the palms facing up and the legs are long with the heels kissing together.

Steps:

  1. The student will lift their chest and circle the arms to 5th.
  2. They will then bring the hands to the forehead.
  3. Have the student take the arms back to a 5th position and circle the arms back around.
  4. Repeat this 2 times.
  5. The student will then come on to their elbows and float one leg up in to arabesque.
  6. Alternate legs and repeat this sequence 4 times.
  7. To finish they will push back in to a child's pose.
