This exercise will focus on core and lower leg strength. Building strength in the lower legs is so important to help with jumps and quick footwork.
Starting Position:
Guide students to lie on their back with their feet placed in the first position against the wall. Instruct them to hold the fusion ball on their chest with both hands.
Steps:
1. The student will push off the wall sliding along the floor
2. Have the student take the arms up into a 5th position, Right leg lifts devant
3. The student will then come upto sitting, walking back in
4. Have the student repeat 4 times, alternating on each leg.
Focus:
Focus on keeping the hips square when when lifting the leg devant, we don’t want any deviation in the pelvis.
