Starting Position:
Place the mini loop band around both ankles. Extend both legs forward so they are off the mat, with the feet flexed. Sit up tall through the torso, keeping the spine elongated.
Steps:
1. Have the student lower down to the elbows
2. The student will the turn their feet out
3. Have the student open and close legs 8 times
4. They will then lift right leg 8 times up and down
5. The student will then open and close both legs 8 times
6. Have the student lift left leg 8 times up and down
7. They will repeat the whole exercise again from the beginning
Focus:
Make sure the student is not sinking into the upper body, they need to activate the core to stay lifted.
