This Mini Loop Warm-up 1, led by Jenna Roberts, is designed to prepare students for turnout and alignment work through focused hip mobility and strength. The class progresses logically from release to activation, enhancing awareness of pelvic stability and controlled rotation.
Starting with Hip Stretch, students release tension in the glutes and lower back. Loop & Rotate introduces rotational control and hip stabilisation. Then, Flex & Balance challenges balance, coordination, and weight placement with pulses and fondus. The sequence ends with Adductor Stretch, encouraging length and symmetry through the hips.
This warm-up supports safe turnout development, coordination, and postural awareness — an excellent foundation before barre or classwork.
Teaching Tips:
Emphasise alignment and control through the hip joint rather than the knees.
Encourage smooth transitions between movements to maintain flow.
Remind students that strength and release work hand in hand.
