Recovery Class 6, guided by Jenna Roberts, is a gentle, continuous-flow session designed to support dancers in releasing tension and restoring alignment after a day of physical activity.


The class explores spinal mobility in all directions—flexion, extension, lateral flexion and rotation—while integrating focused movement through the shoulder girdle and upper back. A highlight of the session is Deep Flow Stretch, which strengthens the connection between the obliques and spinal and pelvic alignment, encouraging activation without tension.


All exercises in this class are holistic, providing a whole-body approach, rather than isolated muscles. Breath coordination, awareness, and postural resetting are key throughout.


Tips

Invite dancers to check in with their pelvic and spinal alignment at the end of class—it’s a valuable moment for recalibration.

In Deep Flow Stretch, promote awareness of the obliques and their role in controlling rotation and side flexion.

Encourage a sense of continuity and softness in transitions to maintain a calm nervous system.
