This Mini Loop Warm-up 4class, led by Melissa McCabe, builds strength and coordination while refining placement and body awareness using the mini loop band.
It begins with Beginner Clams, targeting the glute medius and deep rotators to enhance turnout stability. Dynamic Body Resistance then develops the arabesque line, improving extension and upper–lower body connection. In Placement & Bounce, students explore light jumps to train posture, proprioception, and coordination in rhythm.
Finally, Stretch Release Flow integrates controlled flexibility and release through the hamstrings and spine, creating length and ease to finish the class.
Teaching Focus:
• Reinforce the use of turnout from the hip, not the knees.
• Highlight the band’s role in giving tactile feedback for alignment.
•Observe how students maintain posture and placement as they add small jumps.
