This exercise will challenge the students and help build strength through their core, adductors and obliques. They will also be working in to the hip mobility and developpé.
Starting Position: Have the students lie down on the side with the Pro Ball between the legs, top arm resting on the floor for support, legs in turnout.
Steps:
- They will perform a port de bras to fifth position, turning the gaze towards the floor.
- Have them bend the top knee to roll the ball in, flexing the bottom foot.
- They will then extend the top leg back to the starting position, and flex the top foot.
- The students will then bend the top knee to roll the ball in, flexing the bottom foot once more.
- They will place the hand on the ball, point the bottom foot, and developpé the top leg.
- Then they will perform 2 double rond de jambe en dehors.
- The students will enveloppé the leg, return to the starting position, and roll to the other side to repeat the sequence.
- Repeat on both sides again, this time with rond de jambes en dedans.
- They will then return to the starting position to finish.
