This exercise is not only fantastic for building upper body and core strength, but also for building stamina.
Starting Position:
Place a medium mini loop band above your knees. Begging by coming into a four point kneeling position, wrists under shoulder, knees under hips. Toes are tucked under. You can roll up your mat to protect your wrists
Steps:
1 - Have the student draw in the abdominals and hover their knees just off the mat
2 - The student will then jump both feet out and in x2.
3 - The student will then step the right foot out, then left foot out.
4 - They will then step the right foot in, then left foot in. Repeat.
5 - Have the student repeat the sequence 4 times.
Focus:
Make sure the students activate the abdominals in order to not arch in the lower back. Check the student is still breathing, which will help will building stamina.
