This exercise will target the abdominals and obliques, of the students, they will feel the burn during this one. Make sure they keep breathing and focus on drawing the belly button towards the spine.
Starting Position: Have the students sit on the mat with the knees bent and parallel. Place the fusion ball behind the lower back and bring the hands behind the head.
Steps:
- They will start by lowering the torso back and return upright, repeat 7 times and hold back.
- Perform 6 small pulses.
- Have the students take the ball, stretch the legs forward and extend the arms overhead, lean the body forward over the legs.
- They will then roll up to sit and return to the starting position.
- Have them lower the torso back, rotate to one side and return upright, repeat 6 times, alternating sides.
- They will then lower, rotate to one side and perform 6 small pulses, rotate to the other side and repeat.
- Have the students return upright, bring the fusion ball in front of the body. Lift one leg to tabletop, then the other.
- They will squeeze the legs together and take the ball overhead. Hold.
- Have the students lower everything down to finish.
