This exercise will activate the students glutes, hamstrings and core while also giving them an adductor workout.
Starting Position: Have the students place the mini loop band above the knees. Lie on a mat with knees bent and legs in parallel.
Steps:
- The students will bridge up and bring the arms overhead.
- They will then lower the right arm as the left leg lifts. Return.
- Repeat 6 times, alternating sides.
- They will lower the arms so wrists align with shoulders, and rotate the palms to face each other
- Have the students extend the right leg in parallel, then turn out. Optionally: lift the heel off the floor.
- They will then circle the leg outward 8 times, then inward 8 times.
- The students will lower the leg and unbridge down.
- Have the students bridge up and repeat the leg circles with the left leg.
- They will then bring the arms overhead. Unbridge down and lower both arms to finish.
