A really lovely exercise to i help the students improve hip mobility while also activating glutes and hamstrings. The exercise finishes with a lovely adductor stretch and some spinal rotation.
Starting Position: Have the students place a fusion ball behind one knee and position in four-point kneel.
Steps:
- The students will begin by circling the leg by lifting, opening, closing, and lowering. Repeat 4 times.
- Reverse the circle sequence.
- They will then release the fusion ball, hold it in the same-side hand and extend the working leg to the side.
- Have the students extend the arm up, opening the chest into a twist.
- They will then return the fusion ball to the floor, place the back of the hand on it, and roll it under the body into a twist.
- Repeat the twist sequence once more.
- Repeat the full sequence on the other side.
- To finish the students will open the knees wide and roll the ball forward into child’s pose.
