A personal favourite, this exercise is perfect to get the students activating abdominals, spinal articulation and breath.
Starting Position: Have the student sit in fourth position, arms in demi-seconde, with one hand on the fusion ball.
Steps:
- Have the student roll the ball out to the side while performing a port de bras with the opposite arm, following the arm with the head. Return.
- Repeat 3 times.
- They will then roll the ball out to the side with the port de bras and extend the back leg.
- The student will rotate the body toward the ball and push it forward with both hands.
- They will then roll the ball in to return, opening the chest.
- Repeat 3 times.
- Have the student roll the ball forward once more, bring the back leg in to gather the fusion ball.
- They will then open both legs to the sides while lifting the arms.
- Set up to repeat the full sequence on the opposite side.
