This is a great exercise for getting the students working their upper bodies but also incorporating spinal articulation.
Starting Position: Placing both feet on to the resistance band, hip width apart in a parallel position. The students will then take hold each end of the resistance band and stand tall.
Steps:
- The student will roll down through the spine.
- They will then do a spinal twist taking one hand up and bending the opposite knee. Repeat this on the other side.
- The student will roll back up and repeat this sequence again.
- They will then reach the arms to the ceiling and open the elbows wide, and roll back down through the spine.
- They will repeat this again.
- The student will then have both arms in the air and will reach down one side of the body and then the other.
- The student will repeat the exercise from the beginning.
- To finish they will roll forward holding on to their elbows gently swaying side to side.
