Starting Position:
Roll up both ends of the mat. Guide students to kneel with their left hip against the fitball, placing their left hand on the floor for support. Ensure they position the fusion ball behind their right knee.
Steps:
1. The student will begin by lifting the right leg up in a turned out position
2. The student will turn the leg parallel
3. The student will turn leg back out, lift leg up a little higher
4. They will then lower leg back down to demi pointe
5. Repeat
6. Have the student repeat the same exercise taking the arm to 5th as you lift the knee
7. The arm lowers down as the leg lowers
8. The student will repeat the whole exercise from the beginning
Focus:
Make sure the student works within their own range and does not start distorting the hips.
