This exercise focuses on core stability and strength by working the abdominal muscles using the fusion ball. The fusion ball is used in this exercise to activate the adductors and alignment of the knees.


Starting Position: Begin the exercise by lying on your back with the fusion ball placed between knees. Knees and feet should be hip-width apart and parallel. Arms are stretched alongside the body with fingertips reaching towards feet.


Steps:

The student inhales and then exhales as they curl forward.

Reach fingertips towards the end of the mat.

Activating core muscles as the student curls forward.

The student will then inhale to lower back down.

This movement is repeated.


Focus:   

The student should focus on breathing and maintaining a neutral pelvis throughout, which will stop any tucking under.
