In this class, guided by Jenna Roberts, students will focus on improving dynamic control, footwork, and external rotation. The session is designed to develop speed, precision, and strength—key qualities for clean allegro and responsive movement. This class can be taught as a stand-alone session or as a complement to another technique class.
The class begins with Intrinsic Training, followed by a Paddle with Bands, which support active hamstring lengthening and ankle mobility by using the band to create resistance and maintain control.
Then we continue with Abduction & Adduction to activate the standing leg and promote pelvic alignment through deep gluteal engagement. Combinations such as Piqué and Jeté refine responsiveness and build articulation.
The session concludes with Spine & Release, encouraging spinal rotation, front-body lengthening, and hamstring release to promote balanced mobility and tension release.
Tips:
Encourage efficient transitions between dynamic and stabilising work.
Guide students to use the band to support clarity in movement intention.
