Welcome to Fusion Ball Warm-Up 2 (Senior Level), guided by Ella! This session builds on the work from the first class, focusing on weight transfer, alignment, and control—essential for adagios and overall movement quality.


The class begins with Warm Up and Balance, a full-body exercise designed to activate the core and stabilise the body. As the session progresses, dancers will challenge, develop and strengthen their balance and alignment through targeted exercises. These movement principles, including control and fluidity, will be applied in the final exercise: Rond de Jambe Level 1.


Tips for teachers:


Prioritise alignment over range of motion in Balance with Alignment—working up to coup de pied is completely fine!

Ask dancers to do a rond de jambe before and after Rond de Jambe Level 1 to notice improvements in alignment, strength, and mobility after completing the exercise.

Guide students to connect breath with movement—exhaling during the most challenging moments improves control and ease.
