Mobility Class 1, guided by Melissa McCabe, is the first session in a new series designed to help younger dancers safely develop their flexibility with control and awareness.


Each class includes a short warm-up sequence to ensure that the body is properly prepared before beginning flexibility work—an essential step in preventing injury and supporting long-term progress. The focus is on building good habits early: working within a healthy range, connecting with the breath, and respecting the body’s limits.


This class is both ideal for students at the beginning of their training and those returning after a break as it focuses on helping dancers establish a healthy foundation for future mobility and strength.


Tips

Encourage students to focus on sensation over aesthetic.

Remind dancers that warming up isn’t optional—it’s part of the stretching process.

Support younger students in developing patience and consistency, rather than pushing to extremes.
