This class is designed to help dancers refine their understanding of balance and weight placement—two fundamental components for developing clear, coordinated movement. Through carefully structured exercises, students will work on pelvic stability, turnout alignment, and core activation to support precise movement execution.
From the very beginning, exercises like Curl & Roll – Extension awaken postural muscles and establish a sense of alignment in motion. Flex & Balance builds knee stability and hip control, while Weight Placement Refinement and Balance with Control introduce more dynamic transitions, encouraging dancers to recognise subtle shifts in centre of gravity as they move.
The class also supports the lengthening of key muscle groups, like the iliopsoas, and concludes with Roll Over with the Fusion Ball, encouraging spinal articulation and muscular recovery.
This class is ideal for reinforcing technique foundations while introducing dancers to a deeper awareness of how and where they place their weight to move efficiently, safely, and expressively.
