A former professional ballerina, Skye began her dance training at the Sharon Hardy School of Dance in Campbelltown at just 3.5 years old. By the age of 11, her National Character teacher, Rita Dubovsky, recommended Skye transfer to The Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in St Leonards to advance her training. At 14, Skye embarked on full-time professional training under Tanya Pearson, completing her RAD ballet studies up to Advanced 2 level with High Distinction. By 15, Skye participated in the Tanya Pearson audition tour in Europe, where she secured a coveted place with the Ballettschule of the Hamburg Ballet, John Neumeier. At 16, she commenced her training in Hamburg, Germany. During her time with the Hamburg Ballet, Skye toured internationally to Japan and performed in the company's productions of Swan Lake and La Bayadère. The following year, she was offered a full contract with the Hamburg Ballet Company. Over six years, Skye performed in more than 50 productions, including classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works. She danced in renowned theatres and opera houses across Paris, New York, Tokyo, Athens, Barcelona, Baden-Baden, and Vienna. At 22, Skye returned to Australia to pursue her passion for teaching. Now a qualified RAD instructor, she has taught at several prestigious schools throughout Sydney and the Illawarra. She specialises in Classical Ballet Technique, Stretch and Strengthening, National Character, Neo-Classical, Contemporary, and Choreography. Skye is also a certified PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) and PCT (Progressing Contemporary Technique) teacher and incorporates these innovative training methods into her lessons. Many of her students have gone on to teach, train, or dance professionally in Australia and abroad. In addition to her teaching career, Skye has adjudicated at renowned events, including the Sydney Eisteddfod and the IRBD Dance Competition, further cementing her reputation as a respected figure in the dance industry.
