Welcome to Fusion Ball Warm-Up 8 – Sub-Junior Level, guided by Coni Belgareto.
This short warm-up session is designed to gently activate the body before a full class, rehearsal, or performance. Through exercises like Caterpillar & Butterfly Extension and Foundation Développé, dancers explore coordination, fluidity, and early technical foundations.
With the support of the Fusion Ball, students work on spine articulation, port de bras quality, and alignment. Special attention is given to the activation of both the supporting and working legs, as well as pelvic stability—all crucial for developing clean lines and movement control at an early stage.
Tips:
Encourage students to match breath with movement to support rhythm and control.
Emphasise the role of adductors, abductors, and turnout muscles for safe hip mobility.
If the ball shifts during développé, use it as a cue to correct pelvic alignment and core stability.
Remind dancers that the supporting leg is active—it provides the foundation for every movement.
