This warm-up deepens foundational technique by continuing to integrate the Fusion Ball into floor-based exercises that support posture, turnout, and alignment.
This session focuses on helping young dancers understand how to initiate plié from correct posture and external rotation, using a supine position to remove the challenges of balance and allow for focused muscle engagement.
The warm-up progresses into abdominal strengthening with coordinated arm and leg movements to promote core stability and smooth transitions. Seated work further enhances the student’s ability to maintain upright posture while developing awareness of pelvic placement and natural turnout. The final sequence gently introduces derriere activation in a prone position, supporting spinal alignment and back strength while reinforcing safe leg movement and turnout control. Throughout the session, the emphasis remains on correct initiation of movement, body awareness, and building confidence in early ballet technique.
