Welcome to Junior Class 11, led by Jenna Roberts. This session offers a well-structured progression designed to develop overall strength, alignment, and coordinated movement.
The class begins with a band warm-up that prepares the spine and gently activates key muscle groups, creating a solid foundation for the work ahead. Students then move into posture and extension sequences that refine back strength, upper-body organisation, and ease through the shoulder girdle.
As the session builds, coordination becomes the focus, integrating arm pathways with controlled leg actions. Turnout awareness and pelvic stability are continually reinforced, especially as students explore movements that support arabesque preparation, attitude devant alignment, and à la seconde placement. These sections help students understand alignment and maintain strength without forcing range.
Later in the class, the focus shifts to alignment and controlled leg extension. Students refine adductor engagement, hamstring support, and stability through the supporting leg—key elements for maintaining balance and moving with strength and precision.
The session concludes with a gentle release for the back and obliques, allowing students to finish lengthened, organised, and tension-free.
